The Wizards have announced the additions of Eric Waters as Head Athletic Trainer and Drew Clear as Strength and Conditioning Coach, thus stabilizing their staff. The two have already begun working with the players in preparation for the regular season.

“We are extremely pleased to bring both Eric and Drew on board,” said Wizarsd GM Ernie Grunfeld. “Both of them have outstanding experience and are highly regarded in their respective fields."

Waters spent the last four years as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Chicago Bulls while Cleary was the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach with the Portland Trailblazers. Cleary was also the Strength and Conditioning Consultant to Scottie Pippen.

In other words, the Wizards will have a lot of the conditioning expertise of the Bulls this coming season.

Both Waters and Cleary have a Masters in Exercise Science from Boise State University. They should make a terrific team together.
